Blair Trousdell's Son Gordon
GORDON ELLIOT TROUSDELL
23 April 1980 - 21 January 2015
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Trousdell
on 21 January, 2015. Gord leaves his wife (Lilian) and two children
(Tesla and Harrison); his mother and father (Wendy and Blair); his
brother and sister-in-law (Doug and Michelle); and
many other relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed by all.
Gord’s early focus on windsurfing, rock- and ice-climbing, hiking and
skiing gave way to kids, beekeeping, chickens and renovation projects in
recent years but he always kept his passion for the outdoors and in
particular his keen support of environmental issues.
Gord began his teaching career in the Middle East and for the past 9
years taught Physics, Mathematics and Urban Agriculture in West
Vancouver at Rockridge and West Vancouver Secondary School, where he
also coached rugby, curling and robotics.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, nurses and support
staff at the BC Cancer Agency, the Chemotherapy Department at Lions Gate
Hospital and the North Shore Hospice who cared for Gordon over the past
16 months.
A Celebration of Gord’s Life will be held at West Vancouver Secondary
School, 1750 Mathers Avenue, commencing at 1:00 Saturday afternoon, 21
February, 2015. (socks and sandals optional).
(Donations in support of the Gordon Trousdell Memorial Scholarship Fund will be gratefully received at
