Robert Mazur (1947 - 2010)
May 24, 1947 - June 12, 2010 Bob Mazur passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the age of 63 years, after a year-and-a-half battle with cancer. Bob impressed us with his resolve and determination to make it through a very challenging time. He was born on May 24, 1947 in Winnipeg, MB. Early in life he made the decision to pursue his passion for flying and graduated from Royal Military College with a Bachelor of Science degree. During his flying career he took great pride in flying CF-104's in Germany and later flew with Air Canada as a captain on the A-320. Upon retirement Bob enjoyed sharing his flying experience with students at the Springbank Airport. One of his greatest joys was constructing and flying his aerobatic, home-built aircraft. A lover of nature, Bob enjoyed hiking, skiing and camping trips to the mountains and the West Coast. Bob is survived by his wife Brenda and brother Gerry (Marcey) in Winnipeg. In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no Services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
